ABOUT THE JEWELLERY

goesslie jewellery is made from diverse materials I collect in shops, at markets and during my travels around the world. The main material though that characterizes my jewellery is FIMO clay. All the brightly colored pieces are shaped by my own hand, making each and every single piece a one of a kind.

FIMO

FIMO is a modelling clay that hardens in the oven. It comes in several colors, that when merged together creates new colors. Being quite soft and easy to use it allows you to create whatever shapes you want to make. Working with special techniques you can obtain wonderful effects and patterns. I named the technique I use the most the “Sushi-Technique”, as the process reminds me of rolling sushi.

PACKAGING

Most goesslie packaging is painted by hand - all the little matchboxes for cufflinks and sunglass chains as well as all the envelopes that fly around the world. I knoooow, some of you might think it would make my life so much easier if I would order a ton and let them be printed somewhere... technically true, but that takes all the magic away - plus it’s kind of meditating for me to make. I just love doing it!

ROSALIE GOESS-ENZENBERG

Since I was a little girl, I have always been fascinated by bright colors, drawing, art and creating things. Whilst learning how to sculpt and paint in an artistic high school, I expanded my creative designer mind with an Accessories Design Degree Course in Milan. After my studies I gained experience in the world of fashion working as a junior accessories designer for the brand Karl Lagerfeld in Amsterdam. But I soon felt the need to satisfy my love for handcrafting and bright colors, so I decided to move on from there and dedicate my precious time to my beloved hobby:

I am mainly inspired by nature, the world of art and the wonderful chaos in my beloved little atelier. I wander this rich world with open eyes - the eyes for little details and fascinating colors. All kinds of impressions, the beautiful and the ugly, are collected and sorted in an archive in my subconscious. This archive is the main source for all my ideas and creativity, which I then combine with elements I am currently liking and wanting to work with.
